I am retired and spend most of my time helping charities on a voluntary basis.
I am the Chairman of Blood Cancer UK,Southend Branch. This began in 2000 when I rode in the Southend Bikeathon
to raise money for the charity.
Another role that I enjoy is as a National Observer for Chelmsford Advanced Motorists (Institute of Advanced Motorists IAM RoadSmart).

I spend quite a bit of my time looking after the Churchyard of Holy Trinity Church in Rayleigh as well as researching into
the history of its residents.
One of my hobbies is flying and taking aerial photos, mainly of Essex.
